Private Rocket Science, a record by Okapi, was recorded at home in Utrecht. Most instruments (Roland TR-505 drum computer, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and Casio MT-400v) were recorded on January the 1st, 2014, on a 4-track cassette tape recorder. The songs 4, 5, 6, 9 & 10 were also written this day, the rest was written the months prior to New Years Eve. Vocals and electric guitar were overdubbed on the computer on January the 3rd, the day it also got mixed (for the most part). Anneke's backing vocals on #2 and #5 were recorded on the 1st of April. The final mixes and 'master' were done on the 16th of April.
